#TakeYourPlace campaign highlights role of women in forest industry

Today, on United Nations’ International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) launched the #TakeYourPlace campaign, celebrating women’s contributions to the forest industry.  Together with the Alberta Forest Products Association’s #WomenInForestry initiative, #TakeYourPlace aims to encourage more women to consider rewarding careers in Canada’s forest products sector. From the forest to the boardroom, women are changing the face of our industry and helping to lead it in bold new directions. As many have capably shown, there’s no job in our sector that a woman can’t do, from driving log-haul trucks and renewing forests, to managing mills and maintenance crews and leading companies in executive roles. We believe in opportunities for everyone and look forward to new generations of talented women playing a central role in our dynamic industry.
