Millar Western honoured at annual AFPA awards dinner.
pdf/AFPAAwards-070927.pdf At its annual awards dinner in Jasper, Alberta, the Alberta Forest Products Association (AFPA) honoured Millar Western in three categories. On behalf of the company’s Whitecourt pulp mill, Environmental Coordinator Jeff Shipton accepted the award for Outstanding Achievement in Health and Safety (2004-2006), Pulp and Paper Mill Sector. Wood Products General Manager Stefan Demharter stepped up to receive certificates for Millar Western’s Whitecourt lumber and forest management operations in recognition of their ongoing certification under the FORESTCARE program. And Clifford Naslund, of the Boyle Wood Products Division, was given a lumber grading award for receiving the highest certificate exam marks in the novice category.
