Huestis Demonstration Forest poster contest challenges students to “Bring them to the forest”
Millar Western and Trident Exploration Corp. are encouraging students aged 7 to 16 to apply their artistic abilities to creating a poster that promotes the Huestis Demonstration Forest as an educational and tourist destination. Located near Whitecourt, the Huestis forest shows visitors what goes on in managed forests, from commercial logging and drilling, to efforts to sustain forest biodiversity for future generations. The artist of the winning poster will be awarded a $100 gift certificate, courtesy of Trident Exploration Corp.
