Millar Western’s Slave Lake Pulp Division is seeking a highly motivated Production Operator to join the Production team. This individual will work in all areas of the operation including production lines, Bio Energy plant, water treatment, boilers, pulp warehouse and the control room. They must be committed to workplace safety and will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our facility and our safety program. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a 4th Class Power Engineer certificate or be actively working toward obtaining one, along with prior experience in an industrial environment. This position requires the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A strong willingness to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to the team is essential.

Key competencies for this role include a strong commitment to safety and the ability to make sound, safety-focused decisions. The successful candidate must be able to follow direction while working effectively with minimal supervision. Reliability, dependability, strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a professional approach within a team environment are also critical to success in this position.
