Maintenance Supervisor
Application deadline: March 15, 2026Millar Western’s Quesnel River Pulp Division is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join the Maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role leads a team of tradespeople in supporting the safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance of our 1200 TPD BCTMP mill.
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily and preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment on site, providing direction and support to the team, and addressing operational issues as they arise. The role includes supervisory and administrative responsibilities, ensuring repairs are properly completed and documented, and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and control costs.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Planner and Production Coordinator to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with production requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Mechanical Trades ticket (Millwright, Pipefitter, etc.) or a Mechanical Engineering degree or technical certificate. They will bring solid experience troubleshooting equipment in an industrial maintenance environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a practical and innovative approach to maintenance challenges, and a clear commitment to workplace safety. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with strong organizational and planning skills, is essential.
