Two Millar Western summer students chosen as Green Dream Interns
Millar Western is pleased to announce that two of our summer students were among the 15 chosen across Canada to serve as the 2015 Green Dream Interns. Woodlands Roads Summer Student Kyle Rosychuk and Helitak Leader Darryn Florkewich, both working out of Whitecourt, will each receive a scholarship to support their educations.
Now in its third year, the Green Dream Internship contest is an initiative of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and its Greenest Workforce campaign, which seeks to raise awareness of the diversity of career opportunities in the forest industry. This year’s interns were drawn from many different fields, and are gaining valuable working experience in areas such as human resources, engineering and wildfire control. A key part of their role as interns will be to blog about their experiences and help let Canadians know about the exciting career paths open in our green and growing industry.
For more information, you can read the FPAC news release and follow Kyle’s and Darryn’s blogs. Congratulations to Kyle and Darryn on their internships, and, to all our summer students, have a safe and enjoyable work experience at Millar Western!
