The Green Dream continues — Millar Western welcomes 3 new interns!

The Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) today announced winners of its 2014 Green Dream Internship social media contest. As one of nine Canadian forest products companies participating in the program, Millar Western will be welcoming three new Green Dream interns to its Whitecourt operations next May. Winners Kyle Rosychuk of Edmonton, AB and Emily Harten of Sault Ste Marie, ON will join the company’s Woodlands Division as Operations & Roads Assistant and Silviculture Assistant, respectively. Elizabeth Tice of Markham, ON will join the Whitecourt pulp mill as an Environmental/Chemical Engineer intern.

This is the second year the green Dream Internship program has been offered through FPAC’s TheGreenestWorkforce.ca, an online resource that provides information on the dynamic direction of the forest products industry and career opportunities on offer right across the county. Having benefitted from the enthusiasm, skill and hard work of 2013 interns Patrick Pickard, Kyle Waterman and Connor Vale this past summer, Millar Western was eager to renew its commitment to the Green Dream Internship program. We congratulate all 2014 contest winners, and look forward to working with Elizabeth, Emily and Kyle next spring!
