Millar Western’s Environmental Advisory Committee hosts public presentation on the Government of Alberta’s Water for Life strategy.
http://www.waterforlife.gov.ab.ca The Millar Western Environmental Advisory Committee is hosting a presentation June 7th on the Alberta Environment Water for Life strategy. Mr. Stephen Yeung from Alberta Environment’s Environmental Policy Division will be in attendance to explain the program.
Water use and allocation have been identified by the government as a critical element for Albertans which needs to be managed to ensure availability into the future. The goal is to develop programs and monitoring plans to ensure there is a sufficient quantity of clean water available in Alberta into the future. It looks at allocations of water now and into the future to support further economic and population growth.
Anyone interested in knowing what this means to communities and industries on the Athabasca and Mcleod Rivers is encouraged to attend.
