Company employee earns Alberta scholarship for apprenticeship excellence
In recognition of high marks in his course work and the strong commitment displayed during his apprenticeship, Millar Western employee Bob Therrien has been selected to receive a scholarship under the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Program. A 22-year employee of the Whitecourt Wood Products division, Bob has completed the first year of his four-year millwright apprenticeship and works as part of the maintenance team in the sawmill.
The Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship Program was launched in 2002 by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology. The program is aimed at promoting careers in designated trades and occupations and recognizing excellence among Alberta apprentices and trainees. Millar Western is proud to join the AAIT Board in congratulating Bob on his outstanding achievement!
