Warming hearts and hands in Whitecourt
This beautiful fire pit – truly a work of art – was designed and constructed by our own Rod Lanctot, millwright in our Whitecourt Pulp division. Built from spare materials as Rod’s time on shift allowed, the fire pit has been donated to local ski hill Eastlink Park, where it will help keep skiers, snowboarders and snow-tubers warm through the ski season. Once proper winter weather starts and the hill has enough snow to open, Whitecourt families can look forward to warming their hands at Rod’s handiwork.
Kudos to Rod for his craftsmanship, and to Mill Manager Dave Martell for arranging the donation! Dave (left) is shown here, presenting the fire pit to Brian Wynn (right) of Eastlink Park, on behalf of all of us at Millar Western.
