Reliability Engineer
Application deadline: February 28, 2025Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Slave Lake Pulp Division is seeking a Reliability Engineer to enhance mill operations by optimizing preventative and predictive maintenance programs. The successful candidate will lead root cause investigations, analyze downtime trends, and implement solutions to improve asset reliability. They will oversee predictive maintenance technologies, support risk-based inspections, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to develop strategic reliability plans. This role also involves troubleshooting, shutdown planning, and contractor coordination, ensuring maintenance best practices drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will hold an Engineering Degree from an accredited institution and be eligible for P.Eng. certification. They will have a minimum of five years of experience in an industrial environment, with a strong background in reliability systems and root cause investigations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as this role requires effective collaboration across all levels of the organization. While experience in the pulp and paper industry is considered an asset, candidates with a solid foundation in industrial maintenance and reliability will be well-suited for this position.
