Purchasing & Stores Supervisor
Application deadline: April 20, 2025Millar Western is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our procurement team in the key role of Purchasing & Stores Supervisor for our Slave Lake, Alberta BCTMP Mill. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our procurement and inventory processes for the mill. The Purchasing and Stores Supervisor will be responsible for purchasing activities, maintaining proper inventory levels, and ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers and internal departments.
The Stores Supervisor also leads the stores team, fostering strong performance, accountability, and alignment with operational goals.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Purchasing & Stores Supervisor at our Slave Lake, Alberta BCTMP Mill is an accomplished professional with a Professional Designation such as SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) or active participation in the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA).
With a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the pulp mill or related forestry industry, the candidate brings a wealth of knowledge in procurement processes and strategies. Prior supervisory experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as previous experience with SAP will all be considered assets.
