Process Operator
Application deadline: September 15, 2025Millar Western’s Slave Lake Pulp Division is seeking a highly motivated Production Operator to join the Production team. This individual will work in all areas of the operation including production lines, Bio Energy plant, water treatment, boilers, pulp warehouse and the control room. They must be committed to workplace safety and will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our facility and our safety program. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will hold a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (or be actively working toward one) and bring previous experience in an industrial environment. This position involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. A willingness to learn and continuously build skills is essential to contribute effectively to the team.
Key qualities include a strong commitment to safety and sound decision-making, the ability to follow direction while working with minimal supervision, and reliability in attendance and performance. Candidates should demonstrate clear communication skills, a positive and professional attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
