Journeyperson Pipefitter

Millar Western’s Quesnel River Pulp Division is seeking a highly motivated Journeyperson Pipefitter to join the Maintenance team. This individual will collaborate closely with our Maintenance team, playing a vital role in advancing the efficiency of our facility. As a skilled pipefitter, responsibilities will include safely installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems essential to our operations. This position may require shift work.

 The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a Pipefitter trade certification coupled with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment. Candidates holding dual certifications will be given preference. Flexibility and a willingness to diversify expertise across various mechanical tasks are imperative. Additional assets include experience in chemical handling, welding, fire protection systems, plumbing, and insulation. The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license.

Salary: $48.57 per hour
