Journeyperson Millwright
Application deadline: November 04, 2024Millar Western’s Quesnel River Pulp Division is seeking a highly motivated Journeyperson Millwright to join the Maintenance team. The successful candidate will provide quality mechanical repair services to our pulp operations Responsibilities include maintaining pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and hydraulics involved in the manufacturing process. This role involves undertaking a preventative maintenance program for equipment and operating hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, set-up, and repair of equipment and machinery. Additionally, it includes repairing and assembling hydraulic equipment and cylinders. The role also requires utilizing knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savings, verifying and documenting repairs made, and working in a safe manner using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright ticket and possess proven experience in troubleshooting and working in an industrial maintenance setting. Demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to safety in the workplace is crucial. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and exhibit excellent organizational and planning skills.

Salary: $49.78 per hour
