Millar Western pulp employees mark a one-million-hour safety record
Congratulations to employees at our Whitecourt Pulp Division on reaching a major safety milestone! This week, the team marked an amazing one million person-hours without a lost-time accident — a first in the pulp mill’s 28 years of operation. Mill staff have now worked 1,366 days without an LTA, passing their previous record of 965 days by a large and growing margin.
An injury-free work environment is always our goal, but sustaining a perfect record for this length of time can only be achieved through a deliberate, shared effort to cultivate a culture of safety. Our people can be very proud of this achievement, and of the tenacity and teamwork that made it possible.
