Millar Western pulp mill reaches new safety milestone
Our Whitecourt pulp mill employees have achieved a remarkable safety milestone: on July 5th, they marked three full years — 1,095 days, or more than 800,000 staff hours — without a single lost-time incident. The mill’s previous long run was 965 days, a record now beaten by 131 days and counting.
To mark the occasion, staff were presented with first aid kits for home and vehicle use, to help them stay safe off the job, too. The benefits of a zero-injury workplace culture are many, but the most important one is that our people head home safe at the end of every shift, to enjoy time with their family and friends.
