Millar Western looking for community members to serve on its Public Advisory Committee

Millar Western is seeking residents and representatives of stakeholder groups to serve on its Public Advisory Committee.  PAC members meet approximately 5 times per year, to review the company’s environmental performance, advise on forest management plans, and discuss issues relevant to the forest industry.  Meetings typically involve presentations from outside speakers on a range of topics such as certification, bioenergy and research, and occasionally involve field trips, to see forest management strategies in practice.  A background in forestry is not required – only an interest in and desire to participate in sustainable development of forest resources.  For more information, see the recruitment ad.
