Jr. Buyer/Stores Person
Application deadline: August 09, 2024Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. Slave Lake Pulp Division is currently seeking a Jr. Buyer/Stores Person to join our materials management team. Reporting to the Stores Supervisor this individual will be responsible for day-to-day inventory and direct purchasing requirements for the pulp mill. Key duties will include invoice management using the company’s SAP system; ordering all direct-charge items once requisitions have been approved; documentation management; inventory order placement, expediting, parts staging, inventory counting, materials issues & returns, and shipping & receiving activities. The successful candidate will also play a role in promoting excellent business relationships with both internal and external customers.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and dynamic, capable of working with little supervision within a team environment. He or she will have a strong parts knowledge and a minimum Grade 12 education, a valid driver’s license as well as good verbal and written communications abilities and computer skills. Parts Technician, supply chain training, forklift and SAP experience would be considered assets.
