IT Security and Access Analyst
Application deadline: July 21, 2024Millar Western is seeking an IT Security and Access Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the security framework of our IT infrastructure and applications. Leveraging industry benchmarks, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of security standards and monitoring protocols to strengthen our enterprise operating systems and asset configurations.
Key responsibilities include creating a comprehensive security strategy with detailed roadmaps and project proposals to address prioritized cybersecurity risks across both IT and OT systems. Additionally, the position involves overseeing the formulation and enforcement of identity and access management strategies and policies, ensuring an optimal balance between security and operational efficiency throughout our network, infrastructure, and application spectrum.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate has over 8 years of information security operations experience, including vulnerability management, threat analysis, risk management and incident handling in complex IT environments. With strong knowledge of IT systems architecture, access management, firewall configuration (eg. PAN-OS), desktop and server operating systems, and communication protocols, the candidate must be effective at developing and delivering security programs prioritized by organizational risk and industry trends. Excellent problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications such as CISSP/CISM or GIAC and direct experience analyzing data breaches are preferred.
