Pulp Technician (Casual)

Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Slake Lake Pulp Division currently seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated person with a strong commitment to safety, productivity and continuous improvement to join our Slave Lake Pulp Division as Pulp Technician (Casual). This position is required to collect, test, and record finished pulp samples according to standardized procedure in addition to ensuring product meets appropriate quality standards and identifying/reporting any non-conforming products. This individual will provide coverage, working 12-hour rotating shifts as required. This position includes on-the-job training.

The ideal candidate

The qualified candidate will possess a high school diploma, the ability to work independently within a team environment and will hold a valid driver’s license. Post secondary education in a sciences field and/or lab related experience in an industrial setting, would be considered an asset.
