Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Spruceland Millworks Division is looking to add a full time Logistics Assistant to our team in Acheson, Alberta. Reporting to the Office and Logistics Manager, this individual will assist in achieving customer delivery goals on a weekly basis. They will be responsible for logistics and general office duties including but not limited to: booking outbound freight; processing accurate shipping documentation for all shipments; sales tracking and reporting; processing freight invoices; as well as assistance with arranging couriers, filing, and answering incoming calls.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, well organized, flexible and capable of working and communicating professionally with staff, carriers, and visitors to site. Ability to prioritize and multitask will be key in the rapidly changing logistics world. Within our team environment, this individual will exhibit a willingness to achieve company goals and objectives. Excellent communication and computer skills are required. Experience in forestry and national/international intermodals would be considered an asset.
